IUSA INTERVARSITY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2016
It is that time of year again folks,
The final hoorah of the year is upon us. Sailing teams from around Ireland and even the UK will descend on Co.Clare from the 24th-28th of February 2016 in hopes that their college team will be named IUSA Inter-Varsity champions 2016.
With UCC as defending champions, will some dare take the Varsities Crown off of us? We hope not!
Although the weather down south hasn’t been working out in our favour training wise, we hope to smash it over the 3 days down in Kilrush, Co.Clare.
This year we have passed the hosting title to Trinity College Sailing Club and DIT Sailing Club. With these 2 clubs co-hosting we are sure to behold a fantastic Varsities event this year!
Excitement is growing, and UCC are looking to enter at least 4 sailing teams! We will have 3 full days of sailing which will all be based out of Kilrush Marina!
Keep a close eye on the UCC Sailing Club Facebook page over the few days for key updates on our performance throughout the weekend. We are all very excited here in UCCSC and hopefully we shall see ourselves celebrating the Inter Varsity win come Saturday night!
